The WarezNET forum currently has 28 main sections along with a number of sub-sections (introduced in WarezNET 3). The forum index serves as a starting point for members to visit and post topics/content that is relative to that section. Each section is being handled by Super Moderators and dedicated Moderators who are responsible for maintaining the section, validating links, move threads, apprehend leechers, and take action on rule breakers.

General Category
News and Announcements
Important announcements and updates are posted in this section. Only staff members may post topics and all members can reply. Keeping track of this section is crucial to keep up to date with the latest happenings in the community. However since the release of WarezNET 3, global announcements are shown above this section.
Newbie / New to Site / First Poster Chat
This is a great place for new members to post. Despite its name, this is actually more of a general help site. Members can ask just about anything technical or site related. Also this is the place where new members can introduce themselves.
General Chat
As the name implies, members can open up topics not relating to warez. This is the social side of WarezNET where anything goes as long as the rules are observed and spam and help is avoided.
Scene Discussion
Topics posted here are more serious and do not encourage off-topic posts. This is geared more towards the warez and tech industry.
Hardware Discussion
The Hardware Discussion section focuses on hardware news, reviews, debates, etc. The sub-forum serves as a help desk for members with hardware problems.
Jokes and Funny Stuff
Jokes in the form of text, images, and/or videos are posted here. Posting is capped at 5 jokes per day. Moderators ensure that the content in this section are funny.
Website/Forum Feedback
This is the place for all site related comments. It is the goto place for bug reports and suggestions and ideas from the community to further improve WarezNET.
Download Category
The download category defines WarezNET's purpose - to offer an organized database of downloadable warez. For most people, this is what the members are after. There is a strict rule that members are not allowed to make any form of request unless they are a Full Member, WN Sponsor, or Staff Member
Applications
This is the largest section in the downloads section. Applications of all kinds (except for free and open-source) are posted by members. They may be in the form of:
- Retail applications where they are already registered or in the form of a CD/DVD image
- Trial/demo applications that are accompanied with a Keygen, crack, and/or a link to a serial number
- Modified or hacked media images
- Software collections (also accompanied with keygen/crack/serials)
Every application posted is backed up with a brief description of the product (if there is none a report is encouraged) and a direct HTTP/FTP download. Since this is a warez board, posting the NFO of the application and release group information greatly enhances the authenticity of a post. It is also encouraged to post warez in its pre-packaged format by release groups (i.e. #x# MB RAR packs with NFO and SFV)
The advent of file hosting sites
In the later years of WarezNET, free file hosting sites are being used in sharing links to WarezNET. Due to the popularity of such services such as Rapidshare, megaupload, zshare, yousendit, posting links to these will yield little or no karma (See Karma). Direct links are rarer and more convenient to members thus are more likely to produce a positive karma. Therefore mirrors of the same application may be posted.
Sub-sections of Applications
In addition to warez, members can discuss applications in general, post or help on specific application issues, or make a review of a specific application. In the future WarezNET will provide NFO links which help validate the warez posted in the board.
Games
The games section is laid out similarly to the applications section, but covers games. Games may range from small cracked demos to high-end CD/DVD games with keygens. This does not cover emulation. (see Consoles)
Movies and TV
Also laid out similarly to the movies section, the movies and TV section offers a wide selection of movies and TV content. For newbies, it is advisable to install a codec pack such as K-lite codec pack for playback of most links.
Music / MP3
Any form of audio content can be posted here as long as its not freely distributed.
Consoles
The consoles section offers emulators and ROMs that are used in conjuction with emulators for playing. Media Images (CD/DVD) downloads are also included. Files in this form must be burned using a special procedure or opened in certain emulators.
Freeware
Anything that is free, open-sourced, trial, demo, or without a crack can be posted in the freeware section. In a late WarezNET update, freeware has sub-sections based on content.

E-books and Other
This serves as a miscellaneous section for warez and doubles as the E-book section. E-books usually have PDF or CHM formats and quality posts offer them in high-res. Miscellaenous content is moved to this section so long as it is warez.
Anime
Introduced in WarezNET 3 by popular demand by its members, the anime section is exclusively for anime lovers. This includes anime warez, art, wallpapers, and multimedia.
Public FTPs
Public FTPs or Pubs offer a wide array of warez and content. They are pre-scanned and are usually filled with enough warez for members to leech out. Uploading to FTPs is encouraged especially tagged pugs.
Private FTPs
This is where members share their personal FTP. Ratios in most terms apply. Careful considerations must be considered in this section as common actions such as hammering and leaking may lower karma or lead to a bann from the forum.
